Bruce is the National Leader of the Construction Law Practice Group at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, and one of Lexpert/American Lawyer’s "Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada". He is a Founding Fellow and Past President of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers. His practice focuses on the contentious and non-contentious aspects of construction law and surety bond law and he is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Construction Law. He is a co-author, with K.W. Scott, of the legal textbook, Scott and Reynolds on Surety Bonds, (Thomson Carswell). He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is also a member of the Construction Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association, having served as its Chair from 1992 to 1994, and is an Associate Member of the ABA Fidelity and Surety Law Committee and the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry. Bruce was a member of the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee on Alternate Dispute Resolution in the Construction Industry, and is a frequent speaker and writer on construction law issues.
